School Accused of Downplaying Girl's Leg Fracture
24 Nov
Summary
- A seven-year-old girl sustained a leg fracture after a bike incident near her school.
- Parents claim the school initially minimized the injury and failed to ensure safety.
- An FIR has been registered against unknown persons following the family's complaint.

A seven-year-old girl sustained a leg fracture on November 10th, allegedly after being hit by a bike while near her school. Her parents claim the school initially dismissed the injury as a minor slip and failed to provide adequate road-crossing arrangements. This led to the family lodging a complaint.
The girl's father stated that the injury was only discovered on November 15th after an X-ray revealed two fractures in her leg. She was later treated and her leg was cast. The parents allege the school did not offer support and questioned the safety protocols, especially as the school lacks internal parking, forcing its bus to park across a busy road.
An FIR has since been registered against unknown persons under relevant sections of the BNS and Juvenile Justice Act. The school has countered the allegations, stating nannies were present and that the incident occurred outside school premises. They claim CCTV footage is unclear due to obstruction and are seeking external footage.
