Frisco ISD Schools on High Alert After Email Threats

District leaders in Frisco ISD have urged parents to keep their children home from school on Monday morning following the receipt of emailed threats across multiple campuses. Although the district has stated they do not consider the threat to be credible, all schools have implemented a secure status, requiring students and staff to remain indoors.

Students and personnel who were present at their campuses before the secure status was initiated will remain at school. They will be released only after law enforcement has assessed the situation and confirmed that normal operations can resume safely. The district acknowledged the unsettling nature of such threats, emphasizing that student and staff safety is their paramount concern.

These recent threats in Frisco ISD echo a pattern of similar incidents across North Texas schools. Last week, a bomb threat at Dallas ISD's North Dallas High School led to a significant police response. The day after, several school districts in the region also initiated secure statuses due to a viral video containing threats. Investigations determined that the threats at North Dallas High and those in the video were not credible.
