EDC Fuels Future Engineers with Power Plant Donation

Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU)-Ormoc Campus has received a valuable donation from the Energy Development Corporation (EDC). The contribution consists of equipment from EDC's decommissioned Upper Mahiao Plant in Kananga, Leyte.
This initiative is designed to significantly enhance the practical learning environment for EVSU's engineering and technology students. They will now have direct access to heavy machinery used in real-world power generation.
The donated assets include an Ormat Energy Converter (OEC) Power Shelter, an OEC turbine, condensate return pumps, a wedge-type gate valve, a motor, and Ex-pentane feed pump headers. EDC and EVSU have formalized the transfer of ownership through a deed of donation.
