10 Jul
Summary
- Physical trials for DU's ECA and Sports quotas start July 15.
- Admissions are separate from the regular CSAS-UG process.
- ECA admissions weigh 25% CUET and 75% trial scores.

Delhi University is set to begin physical trials for admissions under the Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) and Sports Supernumerary Quota around July 15. These admission processes will run independently of the standard Common Seat Allocation System for Undergraduate Admissions (CSAS-UG), requiring candidates to participate in trials for their chosen activities or sports.
The university offers admissions across 14 ECA categories, including dance, music, theatre, and creative writing. For ECA admissions, candidates' CUET UG scores will account for 25% of their evaluation, with the remaining 75% determined by their performance in the physical trials.
Similarly, admissions under the Sports Supernumerary Quota, covering 28 disciplines, will involve trials. The final merit list for sports will be compiled by assigning 25% weightage to CUET UG scores, 25% to sports certificates, and 50% to the sports trial performance.
Admissions for both ECA and sports quotas are scheduled to occur after, or concurrently with, the third round of regular undergraduate seat allocations. Candidates are advised to monitor the university's admission portal for finalized schedules and venues for the trials.
