To ensure the fairness and transparency of public recruitment examinations, Delhi Police has recently formed a specialized unit known as the Special Task Force (STF). This STF operates within the Crime Branch and has received approval from the Delhi Police Commissioner.
The primary function of the STF is to conduct quick, professional, and thorough investigations into offenses related to public examinations. It will specifically handle cases involving recruitment and competitive exams conducted by prominent bodies like the UPSC, SSC, RRBs, IBPS, and NTA.
The STF will also address examination irregularities linked to central government ministries and departments. The unit's leadership will fall under the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch), with oversight from the Special Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch).
Beyond investigations, the STF is tasked with collaborating with prosecuting agencies to accelerate court proceedings for paper leak and examination-related cases. This initiative seeks to ensure day-to-day hearings and swift justice, as announced on X by Delhi Police as a dedicated step towards exam integrity.
