Spandhana I., daughter of an auto driver, achieved a significant academic milestone by earning three gold medals in her Bachelor of Physiotherapy program. She studied at Padmashree Institute of Physiotherapy, affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS). Spandhana, who was born and raised in Bengaluru, initially aimed to pursue an MBBS degree. However, the circumstances brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic redirected her path to physiotherapy, a field she grew to love and excel in.
Her success is attributed to her family's unwavering support and the guidance received from her college. Spandhana plans to pursue a Master's degree in neurosciences. Meanwhile, Prajwal Kashyap, an MBBS student from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, also graduated with two gold medals and two cash prizes, emerging as the university's second topper. Several other students, including Brinda M.K. (BDS) and Annu Priya (B.Pharm), were also recognized for achieving multiple gold medals in their respective fields.
