Justice Served: Families of Deceased Workers Secure Compensation

A protest by the families of two grill workers, Rajpal and Abhishek, who died due to electrocution, concluded on Sunday. The families had placed the bodies outside a school owned by the apartment owner in Kakadeo, demanding compensation and educational support.
Compensation of Rs 5 lakh each was provided to the wives of the deceased, along with Rs 50,000 for funeral rites. Furthermore, the children of one worker will receive free education up to the intermediate level at the school, and the daughter of the other worker will be admitted to an ICSE board school.
The incident occurred on Saturday when Rajpal and Abhishek came into contact with a high-tension line while measuring a flat for grill installation in Keshavpuram. Another labourer sustained injuries. Police have initiated an investigation and sent the bodies for postmortem.
