Keith Zartman, 53, of Waynesville, has received a four-year prison sentence for his role in a fatal crash that occurred on July 4, 2025. The sentencing took place on Monday, as confirmed by the Montgomery County Prosecutor's Office. This outcome follows Zartman's plea agreement last month, where he pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide. The collision happened just before 7 a.m. in the 4200 block of Marshall Road. Tadeo Gatewood, 37, was tragically killed at the scene. Evidence, including doorbell camera footage, showed a gray truck striking a tree. White paint scraped on the gray truck's driver door suggested a connection to Zartman's white Chevrolet Silverado, which was seen turning shortly after the incident. Zartman had initially pleaded not guilty in November 2025 but later changed his plea before his scheduled jury trial.
