Crucially, households must demonstrate that their primary residence suffered destruction or severe damage and earn 80% or less of the area median gross income.
While the state pursues federal aid for broader relief, this flexible funding addresses immediate recovery needs. Residents can apply online via the Salvation Army website, by calling 833-719-4981, or by visiting Disaster Assistance Centers in their respective counties. Centers are currently open in King County, with locations planned for Skagit and Whatcom counties in early January.
