Baby Book Recall: Choking Hazard Found
16 Sep
Summary
- Children's book recalled due to detachable fly wings posing choking risk.
- Retailers like Aldi and TK Maxx are affected by the urgent product recall.
- Customers can obtain a full refund for the unsafe Groovy Baby book.
A children's book, the Groovy Baby "I Spy a Fly" Book, has been urgently recalled from stores including Aldi and TK Maxx. The recall is due to the "fly wings" on the last page, which can detach and present a choking hazard to babies and young children. The product fails to meet safety regulations.
Make Believe Ideas (MBI), the product's distributor, has urged users to remove the wings immediately. Customers are advised to pull off the wings, cut each into four pieces, photograph the pieces with the book, and then dispose of them in a child-inaccessible bin. Those who purchased the book are eligible for a full refund.
This recall follows a separate product recall by Waitrose for black olives due to listeria contamination. Affected olives had use-by dates of 13 September 2026, 18 September 2026, and 27 September 2026.
