United Passenger Soaked by Cabin Leak
3 May
Summary
- A passenger was repeatedly soaked by leaking liquid during a flight.
- Flight attendants provided paper towels but did not move the passenger.
- The airline offered a partial refund, which the passenger rejected.

A routine United Airlines flight devolved into a distressing experience for passenger Kevin Glover when mysterious liquid dripped from the cabin ceiling. The incident occurred on April 26 during a flight from Houston to Chicago.
Glover reported that the leak persisted throughout the flight, soaking him multiple times. Despite activating the call button, flight attendants did not provide immediate assistance, only offering paper towels after takeoff. The passenger stated he was soaked from head to undies and felt embarrassed, with fellow passengers also witnessing and complaining about the leak.
Attendants speculated the liquid was cabin air condensation and attempted to stop the drips by stuffing napkins into ceiling gaps. Glover expressed concern about potential health risks associated with the liquid. Following the flight, United reportedly offered a $167 refund for the leg or a digital flight credit, which Glover declined, demanding compensation for his entire journey.
