- All 159 passengers and 6 crew members evacuated safely.
- Bomb squad investigation yielded negative results for explosives.

United Flight 2092, en route from Chicago O'Hare to LaGuardia, was diverted to Pittsburgh International Airport on Saturday after pilots detected a concerning beeping sound. The crew decided to treat the situation as a "potential bomb," initiating an immediate diversion.
The Boeing 737 landed at 11:45 a.m. where emergency services awaited. All 159 passengers and 6 crew members were safely evacuated from the aircraft using emergency slides. No injuries were reported during the incident.
Authorities, including the Pittsburgh FBI bomb technicians and the Allegheny County bomb squad, responded to the scene. A thorough sweep of the aircraft, passengers, and their luggage was conducted by the Explosive Ordinance Disposal team and K9 units, which returned negative results for any explosives.
The incident was subsequently cleared, and United Airlines arranged for passengers to take alternative flights to their original destination. This event occurred less than a month after a separate incident involving an American Airlines flight that made an emergency landing due to a passenger's disruptive behavior.
