Car Flees Scene After Fatally Injuring Rider

A fatal hit-and-run incident tragically claimed the life of a 35-year-old motorcyclist on the Trichy-Dindigul national highway. The victim, identified as S Arun Kumar of Karur, was traveling on Thursday night near Karumandapam when his two-wheeler was violently struck from behind by a car.
The collision, which occurred on an accident-prone stretch, threw Kumar from his vehicle, inflicting severe head injuries. The car responsible, reportedly bearing registration from the Chidambaram RTO in Cuddalore district, sped away from the scene without stopping.
Bystanders promptly transported the injured Kumar to Trichy MGMGH. Despite receiving medical attention, he tragically passed away early Friday morning due to the severity of his injuries. The Trichy traffic south investigation wing has registered a case and is making efforts to apprehend the driver of the fleeing vehicle.
