On November 12th, 2025, a tragic incident occurred in Gurugram, India, where a 5-year-old boy lost his life in a balcony fall from a high-rise residential tower. The child, Rudra Tej Singh, had returned home around 5:30 PM on Saturday with a domestic help, while his parents, a builder named Prakash Chandra and a doctor, were away.
As Rudra stepped out of the lift, he ran into the flat, and the main door, which had an auto-lock system, shut behind him, leaving the domestic help locked outside. Alone and frightened, the child reportedly went to the balcony and climbed onto a clothes-drying bar while calling for help. Tragically, the boy lost his balance and plunged from the 22nd floor.
Residents of the Pioneer Presidia housing society in Sector 62 rushed the child to a nearby private hospital, but doctors declared him dead on arrival. The police have registered a report, and the child's body was handed over to the family after a post-mortem examination on Sunday.
This heartbreaking incident has left the community in shock, and authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragedy. The loss of young Rudra Tej Singh has deeply saddened his parents and the entire neighborhood.
