Tragic Accidents Claim Two Lives in Andheri, Mumbai

Earlier that day, at around 11 AM, a 64-year-old woman named Mariama Harijan, who worked as a garbage collector at Mahakali Caves, was struck by a dumper while crossing the road near the Chakala signal. Harijan was rushed to the hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries.
The MIDC police quickly arrested the dumper driver, Anujkumar Saroj, who had abandoned the vehicle at the scene and fled. Later in the evening, a 24-year-old man named Amol Magar, a resident of Goregaon and an employee at a private firm, was crossing the road near the Vedanta petrol pump when he was hit by a tempo. Magar was immediately taken to the hospital, but he died during treatment.
The MIDC police have also booked the tempo driver, Raju Yadav, in connection with this incident. The tragic loss of life in these two separate accidents has raised concerns about road safety in the area, and the authorities are expected to take necessary measures to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
