11 Apr
Summary
- Three family members lost consciousness due to suspected toxic gas.
- Victims experienced breathing difficulties and vomiting.
- All three are stable and out of danger at a local hospital.

In Dhanbad, a family of three fell unconscious late Thursday due to a suspected underground toxic gas leak in Rajput Basti, Kenduadih. Sunny Kumar Verma, 24, Divya Devi, 34, and a child named Duggu, aged 3, began experiencing severe breathing difficulties and vomiting.
These alarming symptoms preceded their collapse. Family members quickly transported them to the nearby Kustaur regional hospital for immediate medical attention. Doctors attending to the patients reported that all three are now in stable condition and no longer in danger.
Medical officer Dr. Shashi Kumar Ravi noted the consistency of symptoms among the patients, including respiratory distress, nausea, and loss of consciousness. These signs strongly indicate exposure to a toxic gas, prompting further investigation into the source of the leak.
