A one-year-old toddler has tragically died following a serious incident involving a ute in New South Wales' Hunter Region on Tuesday evening. The accident took place at a private residence on Lloyd George Grove in Tanilba Bay, Port Stephens, around 5:40 PM.
Emergency services, including NSW Ambulance paramedics, responded swiftly to the scene. Despite their best efforts to treat the critically injured child, she was transported to John Hunter Hospital. Tragically, the young girl succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
The 25-year-old male driver of the Toyota Utility sustained no injuries but was taken for mandatory testing. Police have launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision, urging anyone with information to come forward.
