A seemingly fun snow day on January 26 turned into a life-altering event for a Vilonia family after their 16-year-old daughter, Lexie Glover, was seriously injured. While sledding in Cabot, Lexie lost control on a steep road and collided headfirst with a brick mailbox. This impact resulted in multiple fractures and a severe spinal injury.

Lexie was rushed to the hospital, where doctors discovered the extent of her injuries, including damage to her neck and back, and fractures to her shoulder and pelvis. A lengthy 10-hour surgery was performed to stabilize her spine. She has since moved from intensive care to the rehabilitation floor at Arkansas Children's Hospital.
