Rohitha sustained critical injuries on October 20 when a speeding lorry collided with the autorickshaw carrying her family. Despite efforts by medical professionals, she was declared brain dead on October 30.
Amidst their profound sorrow, Rohitha's family, including her father Narayana Rao, made the extraordinary decision to donate her organs. This noble act was performed under the Jeevandan organ donation program.
Her donated organs, comprising two kidneys, two portions of her liver, and both corneas, have been successfully transplanted, offering renewed hope to six patients. City police chief VC Sajjanar commended the family's generosity, acknowledging their brave gesture during immense personal tragedy. Rohitha's legacy now lives on through the lives she saved.
