A beautiful 15-year-old girl, Charlie Slack, has tragically passed away following a collision involving a car and a van. The incident took place on Saturday evening at approximately 5:30 PM on Shincliffe Lane, near Durham.
Charlie was a passenger in a Fiat 500 that was involved in the crash. Despite immediate and extensive efforts by members of the public and emergency responders to save her life, she was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.
A second passenger from the Fiat was transported to University Hospital North Durham for medical treatment. The drivers of both the Fiat and the van sustained only minor injuries.
