Swiggy Rider Fatally Hit by Luxury SUV on Sea Link

A 20-year-old Swiggy delivery rider tragically lost his life on the Coastal Highway at Sea Link Reclamation in Bandra West. The incident occurred late on Friday, September 4th, when his motorcycle was allegedly hit from behind by a high-end SUV while it was overtaking.
The rider, Shubham Prajapati, sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to Bhabha Hospital. He tragically passed away at 12:12 am on September 5th, just two hours after being admitted. Prajapati was on his way to deliver a parcel when the accident happened.
The driver of the black SUV, identified as 28-year-old Yuvraj Baheti, a resident of Mahalaxmi, was arrested by the Bandra police. The vehicle, reportedly valued at approximately Rs 2.5 crore, was impounded. Baheti, whose family is involved in the import-export business, was produced before a Bandra court on Saturday and subsequently granted bail. Police confirmed Baheti was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
