Sohna Crash: Bail Denied for Thar Driver in Fatal Collision

A local court in Gurgaon has denied bail to a 23-year-old man arrested for his alleged involvement in a fatal collision at Sohna Chowk. The accused remains in judicial custody following the rejection of his bail plea.
The incident occurred on July 17, when a Thar, reportedly speeding from the opposite direction, collided with a Baleno near the Sohna Chowk intersection. The impact was severe, causing the Baleno to be thrown onto the divider and overturn.
Divyansh Chadha, 19, a tattoo artist, sustained critical injuries to his head, neck, and ribs. He passed away on Tuesday, having been unconscious since the crash. Four family members and a relative were also injured in the collision.
Authorities are investigating claims that the Thar driver was under the influence of alcohol. Following Divyansh's death, police have enhanced the charges against the accused, adding Section 106 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita to the initial charges.
