Summary
- Inquest into skydiver's death faces further delays.
- Videographer died during a parachute jump in April 2024.
- Jump operators requested more time for council questions.

An inquest concerning the death of Sam Cornwell, a 46-year-old videographer from Hampshire, has encountered further postponements. Mr. Cornwell lost his life in April 2024 while filming a skydive near Shotton airfield in County Durham. His main parachute failed to open correctly during the jump.
The coroner was informed of a parallel investigation by Durham County Council, which is still underway. The operators of the jump, Sky-High Skydiving, have also requested an extension to address the council's questions, leading to the adjournment of the inquest until June 2. The coroner had previously apologized for the extended delays in providing closure.
