Actress's Son Bitten by Shark in Mexico Holiday Horror

Actress Marichelo Puente recounted a terrifying experience where her young son, Patricio, was bitten by a shark during a family holiday in Tulum, Mexico. The attack occurred in shallow waters, with the shark biting both of Patricio's legs, necessitating 30 stitches. Puente described the event as unbelievable and still in shock, noting her son was screaming in pain.

Doctors confirmed the injury was consistent with a reef shark bite. Despite the severity, Puente stated she held no ill feelings towards the shark, suggesting it acted defensively. She cautioned others to be extremely careful when swimming, warning that such incidents are becoming more frequent.

The article also noted a similar incident in Cancun two years prior, where an American boy suffered severe leg injuries from a shark bite, requiring extensive medical care and multiple surgeries. This boy has since undergone operations and is expected to recover fully with physiotherapy.
