The van was subsequently crushed between the truck and another stationary vehicle, resulting in fatalities. Five individuals died at the scene, while two others succumbed to their injuries during medical treatment. The deceased were residents of Amba Jangal village and Piproti.
This tragic event took place on a stretch of road where repairs are currently underway. Locals have expressed concerns over road safety, noting previous accidents at the same location. Police have registered a case against the truck driver and cleaner for rash driving, with the driver alleging brake failure as the cause.
