As Assam grapples with severe floods, actor Salman Khan has initiated a significant relief campaign. He is working with the Salman Khan Fan Club (SKFC) Assam to deliver essential supplies to the worst-hit areas. The first phase of this effort, which commenced recently, involved distributing ready-to-eat food packets to families in Sivasagar, transported from Guwahati.
These food packets are designed to sustain families for at least three days, containing items such as biscuits, jaggery, poha, puffed rice, bread, cheese, and jam. Volunteers are also providing crucial items like drinking water, water purification tablets, sanitary pads, and mosquito coils to those displaced by the floods.
The relief campaign is structured in multiple phases, with subsequent stages planned to distribute ration kits and medicines. In the long term, Being Human aims to contribute to the rebuilding of damaged schools and hospitals, thereby assisting in the community's comprehensive recovery.
