Seven pilgrims returning to Tamil Nadu were injured on Friday morning after their vehicle lost control and fell nearly 30 feet from the national highway. The incident occurred near Peermade in Kerala, close to the government guest house.
The pilgrims had completed their visit to Sabarimala and were on their way back home when the accident took place. Prompt action by Peermade fire and rescue services and highway police led to a swift rescue operation.
Initially, the injured were transported to a private hospital in Mundakayam. Subsequently, they were transferred to the Kottayam medical college hospital to receive specialized medical treatment. The rescue operation involved several dedicated personnel from the fire and rescue services.
