A Qantas flight bound for Perth experienced an unusual incident, forcing an emergency landing in Adelaide. The flight crew decided to turn the aircraft around over the Great Australian Bight. The plane subsequently landed at Adelaide Airport around 1 am on Saturday. This unscheduled landing occurred after the airport's midnight curfew. Paramedics were present at the terminal to assess passengers and crew as they disembarked. A Qantas spokesperson apologized for the inconvenience, stating that affected passengers were re-accommodated on flights departing Saturday morning from Adelaide to Perth.
