PT Organics Limited has voluntarily recalled select Pumpkin Tree Peter Rabbit Organics Banana & Strawberry Fruit Puree Pouches. This action was taken following the discovery of a packaging defect that could introduce soft, food-grade plastic strands into the fruit puree. The recall was announced on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.
The affected products are 4-ounce (113 g) Banana & Strawberry Fruit Puree Pouches. These were exclusively sold through Kroger, Meijer, and Target stores nationwide. The distribution period for these pouches was between March 6, 2026, and July 13, 2026. PT Organics stated that no injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.
The company initiated the voluntary recall after its packaging supplier reported a production run of defective pouches. Inspections confirmed that a small number of pouches contained a strand of soft plastic attached to the inside of the packaging. Consumers can identify the recalled pouches by specific details printed on the back, including the barcode 8 15367 01078 0 and lane number 4.
PT Organics strongly advises consumers and caregivers to stop using the recalled pouches immediately. Affected products should be discarded or returned to the place of purchase for a full refund. The company emphasizes that these pouches should not be consumed or fed to others. No other Pumpkin Tree products, flavors, or best-before dates are impacted by this recall.
