A significant pothole on the B4038 between Kilsby and Hillmorton caused a tyre to burst, leaving a local driver stranded for two hours. The incident occurred on Friday evening around 19:30 GMT. The driver, Becky Broadley, reported that heavy rain and darkness obscured the large hole, leading to the sudden tyre failure. This hazardous pothole also stranded approximately nine other vehicles. A mobile tyre fitter was eventually called to the scene, assisting multiple drivers. Broadley, who frequently uses the road, noted that its condition had been poor for an extended period. She expressed frustration that police did not attend the scene, although a helpful tyre fitter eventually resolved the immediate issue for several drivers.
