A head constable from the Fatehabad CIA team, identified as 40-year-old Shamsher, tragically lost his life in a road accident. The incident occurred early Tuesday near Dhandhoor village in Hisar district when an Eicher canter struck the police vehicle.
Fellow constable Jasbir Singh, who was driving, sustained injuries and was promptly taken to Agroha Medical College. He has since lodged a complaint with the Sadar police station, leading to an FIR against the unidentified canter driver.
According to Singh's statement, he and Havildar Shamsher were on duty following a tip. After failing to locate a suspicious vehicle, they were returning when the canter reportedly moved into their lane while overtaking, causing the collision. Shamsher was pronounced dead at the scene.
