Student Survives Terrifying Plane Crash Landing
24 Mar
Summary
- Plane veered sharply off course during landing.
- Passengers experienced severe turbulence and a hard landing.
- The student plans to use exposure therapy to overcome trauma.

On March 22, a 22-year-old student survived a terrifying plane crash landing in Montreal while returning from a spring break trip. The flight, already delayed, encountered significant turbulence before a jarring landing. The aircraft then veered sharply, causing widespread panic among passengers.
The student described the plane losing control, with screaming and visible injuries among those onboard. The front of the plane appeared severely damaged. After safely exiting via an emergency exit onto the wing, passengers faced a further drop to the ground.
Medical assistance arrived within minutes for the lightly bruised student, though others sustained more serious injuries. After spending hours at the airport speaking with police and awaiting transport, he was picked up by his brother and returned home.
Despite the traumatic experience, the student plans to fly again, viewing more flights as a form of exposure therapy to help him overcome the ordeal. He believes such an event is unlikely to happen twice.
