- One person died, two were injured, and two are missing.
- The collapse occurred after a roof segment failed on the top level.

A partial collapse at a parking garage under construction in Philadelphia on Wednesday has led to one confirmed death, two injuries, and two people missing. The incident occurred around 2 PM when a precast roof segment on the top level of the stair tower failed, initiating a progressive collapse across all seven floors. First responders successfully evacuated three individuals from the structure; one later died at the hospital, while the other two were treated and released.
Emergency crews are diligently continuing the search for the two missing individuals, who are thought to be trapped beneath debris. Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker stated that they will "not rest until everyone is accounted for." The search is anticipated to extend through Thursday. The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia owns the parking garage, which was being built to increase staff parking.
Construction has been halted as the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) investigates the cause of the collapse. The mayor indicated that a subcontractor, Precast Services Inc., was responsible for installing the faulty precast concrete slab. City officials have closed the surrounding area due to concerns about the remaining structure's stability.
