A man and woman sustained significant injuries after being struck and pinned by a vehicle on the Las Vegas Strip. The collision occurred on Friday evening in the 3400 block of Las Vegas Boulevard, south of Flamingo Road.
The driver of a Toyota Camry was reportedly backing up from a private driveway to avoid traffic congestion following a minor collision with another vehicle. The pedestrians, walking northbound on the sidewalk, were crossing a marked driveway when they were hit and trapped.
Several bystanders rushed to help, successfully freeing the two individuals from beneath the car. The 49-year-old man was reported in critical condition, while the 32-year-old woman suffered moderate injuries. The driver, who remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities, showed no signs of impairment. The incident remains under investigation.
