Summary
- Over 25,000 FirstEnergy customers in Ohio lost power.
- Power restoration is expected to continue through Monday night.
- Another storm system is predicted to bring more wind and potential outages.

Northeast Ohio is experiencing significant power disruptions due to strong winds that swept through the region on Friday. As of 9 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, FirstEnergy reported 25,000 customers were still without power across the state, with 10,073 outages specifically in Cuyahoga County. Additional outages were noted in Geauga, Lorain, Richland, Stark, Summit, and Ashtabula Counties. Cleveland Public Power customers also experienced outages but reported no widespread issues by Saturday night.
Restoration efforts are ongoing, with FirstEnergy anticipating some power could be back by Sunday night in Cuyahoga County, while others, including Summit County residents, may not have power restored until Monday night. The utility is monitoring an incoming storm system expected Monday that could cause further outages. Crews are prioritizing repairs from Friday's storm but are prepared to address new issues and will work continuously until all customers regain power. Residents are urged to report any new outages.
