A shocking incident occurred in Bulandshahr district where a newborn baby boy's head was severed during delivery. The tragedy unfolded on January 25th when a pregnant woman experienced labor pains. Her husband reported calling a local ASHA worker, who then contacted a midwife.
Instead of seeking professional medical assistance, the ASHA worker and midwife allegedly attempted a forced delivery. Complications arose, and during their efforts, the neck of the live newborn was severed. The baby's body emerged, but the head remained inside the mother's womb.
The accused ASHA worker and midwife reportedly fled the scene, leaving the woman in a critical state. She was initially taken to a hospital in Bulandshahr and later referred to Meerut for treatment. Police have registered a case against the accused, and a search is ongoing to apprehend them.
