7 Dec
Summary
- A 4.6 magnitude earthquake occurred in Nepal's Sudurpashchim province.
- The tremor's epicenter was in the Ghusa area of Darchula district.
- No damage was reported immediately following the Sunday morning earthquake.

Western Nepal's Sudurpashchim province experienced tremors on Sunday morning following a 4.6 magnitude earthquake. The seismic event was recorded at 8:28 a.m., with its origin pinpointed in the Ghusa area of the Darchula district. Neighboring districts also felt the vibrations, though initial reports indicate no significant damage.
This earthquake adds to a pattern of seismic activity in the region. Just recently, on November 30, 2025, a 4.4 magnitude earthquake was registered in the Saipal mountain region within the Bajhang district, also part of Sudurpashchim province.
The National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre confirmed the details of Sunday's tremor. While the affected province is no stranger to seismic events, the lack of reported damage from this latest quake offers some relief to the local communities.
