A tragic aviation accident claimed the lives of NASCAR driver Greg Biffle and his entire family. The crash occurred upon attempted landing at Statesville Regional Airport in North Carolina on December 18, 2025. Sadly, a holiday card sent by the Biffle family has begun arriving at friends' homes posthumously.
The card depicted Greg, his wife Cristina, and their children Emma (14) and Ryder (5), expressing hopes for joy during the season and wishing a happy new year. The aircraft, carrying Biffle, his family, the pilot Dennis Dutton, his son Jack, and motorhome driver Craig Wadsworth, was reportedly stable on approach before the crash.
Investigations are ongoing, with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) focusing on why the plane returned to the airport shortly after takeoff. Experts suggest a final report could take up to two years, although the high-profile nature of the case may expedite the process.
