Speeding Tempo Kills Youth on Sion-Panvel Highway

Tragically, a 19-year-old youth succumbed to his injuries on Saturday, a week after a severe accident on the Sion-Panvel Highway in Govandi. The youth was riding a motorcycle when a speeding tempo collided with it, causing him and his companion to be thrown from the vehicle.
The tempo driver, who was reportedly speeding, fled the scene immediately after the collision without offering any assistance. Govandi police have filed a First Information Report against the unidentified driver for causing death by negligence and for fleeing the scene of the accident.
Authorities are currently investigating the incident and are making efforts to identify and apprehend the tempo driver responsible for the fatal crash. The victim's father has lodged a complaint, detailing the circumstances of the accident that occurred near the Telecom Company junction.
