A holiday break in Whitby ended in a dramatic rescue when Kadassi Nembhard became trapped waist-deep in thick harbour mud. She remained trapped for approximately 30 minutes, experiencing panic as the mud rose past her knees. Passers-by attempted to assist but also became stuck. The RNLI crew arrived swiftly, using a spade, a wooden plank, and a signboard to carefully extract Kadassi from the mud.
