Mother and children drown in tank: A Balotra tragedy

A devastating incident occurred on Wednesday evening in Balotra district, where a mother and her two young sons lost their lives after drowning in a water tank. The tragedy unfolded in Nimba Ki Dhani village within the Gida police station area.
The mother, identified as Devi (29), was reportedly near the fields while her sons, Arjun (6) and Dharmendra (3), played. The elder son accidentally fell into the water tank, and his mother immediately jumped in to rescue him. Tragically, the younger son also fell into the tank while following his mother.
Screams alerted the children's grandparents, who, along with villagers, rushed to the scene and managed to pull the three from the tank. They were quickly transported to Gida Hospital, but medical professionals pronounced them dead upon arrival. The Gida police have registered a case of unnatural death, with the family describing the event as an accident.
