A devastating incident occurred on Thursday night in the Rangareddy district of Telangana, where a 35-year-old woman and her teenage daughter died by suicide. The two victims jumped into a well following a domestic dispute.
The family, consisting of the woman, her husband Sudhakar, their 15-year-old daughter, and 10-year-old son, had relocated to the village for agricultural work. According to police reports, an argument between the woman and her husband on the night of July 16 preceded the tragic event.
While the mother and daughter succumbed to drowning, their 10-year-old son, Varun, managed to save himself by holding onto a tree branch and climbing to safety. Police have registered a case and are investigating the exact circumstances surrounding the deaths. The bodies have been retrieved for post-mortem examinations.
