Montreal Cold Snap Claims Lives of Three Elderly Residents

A concerning trend has emerged in the greater Montreal area as three senior citizens have tragically died after being found outdoors in cold conditions this week. The most recent incident occurred on Montreal's North Shore, where a 78-year-old man was discovered unresponsive outside his social housing building. Despite immediate transport to the hospital, he was later pronounced dead. Police are investigating this incident thoroughly, emphasizing that all avenues are being explored.

This death marks the third such reported case in a short span. Earlier in the week, an 84-year-old woman was found by a snowplow operator in Longueuil, on Montreal's South Shore. She was reportedly lightly dressed and vulnerable, having left her home despite being under family supervision. In Laval, an 88-year-old woman suffering from a medical condition similar to dementia was found deceased outside her residence.
