A Mississauga family is devastated after 38-year-old Chanelle Allcock-Radmore was killed in a hit-and-run on Sunday morning. She was struck by a vehicle near Eglinton Avenue and Erin Mills Parkway while crossing the street after dropping her husband off at Credit Valley Hospital. The driver fled the scene, heading eastbound on Eglinton Avenue.
Allcock-Radmore is remembered by her parents as a "kind soul" and "baby" who was loving, thoughtful, and always happy. She recently married on May 22 and had celebrated her 38th birthday on June 1. Her parents described her death as the "hardest thing" they have ever experienced.
Her husband, Shawn Radmore, spoke of her compassion and attentiveness to others' needs, noting her outgoing nature. Police are urging the driver to turn themselves in, highlighting the expectation of substantial front-end damage to the vehicle. Authorities have also appealed to local automotive businesses to report any suspicious damaged vehicles.
