A devastating house fire erupted on Townshipline Avenue in Mission on Monday morning, critically injuring a 69-year-old man and leaving a 46-year-old woman missing. Emergency crews were dispatched to the detached home shortly after 8 a.m. PT.
Firefighters found the man with severe burns, sustained while attempting to locate the missing woman inside the burning structure. He was quickly extricated and transported via air ambulance to a hospital, where he is reported to be in serious but stable condition and expected to survive.
