Summary
- A 14-year-old boy disappeared during a school trip.
- Concerns raised about supervision during the class outing.
- Family is actively seeking public assistance for the search.

A distressing situation has emerged following the disappearance of 14-year-old Davoris Carter, who vanished on June 1 while on a class trip to Wildwood, New Jersey. Carter, who goes by "Peter," was with several other swimmers when they experienced distress in the water near Schellinger Avenue. While three other individuals were rescued, Carter could not be located.
His mother, Shyara Hill, expressed deep concern regarding the circumstances of the trip, noting that her son was two days away from graduating from Delta School in Philadelphia. She questioned the decision to allow students in the water and the adequacy of supervision, stating her son was supposed to be accompanied by a staff member.
Grandmother Kenya Pippen echoed these concerns, alleging a lack of supervision and expressing anger over the event. Delta School CEO Dr. David Weathington stated that six students were on the trip with supervision and described Carter's disappearance as a "devastating tragedy."
The school has offered mental health support services to its community. Carter's family is now appealing for assistance from organizations with technology that could aid in searching the water for their son, who also enjoyed hockey and basketball.
