Search efforts are underway for a missing kayaker who fell into the Ohio River in Ohio on Thursday afternoon. Firefighters were dispatched to a water rescue near U.S. 52 in Clermont County after two kayakers entered the water. One individual was successfully rescued and reported to be uninjured.
However, a second kayaker has not been located. The search, which commenced around 4 p.m., was conducted two miles upriver from New Richmond. Authorities suspended the search operations for the night at approximately 10:45 p.m. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources is now leading the investigation into the incident.
