Lisa Wolf's life was upended on New Year's Day after a reckless driver caused a serious crash in Milwaukee. Wolf was driving home from an 11-hour shift when her car was struck and overturned. She awoke to find her vehicle upside down and had to escape through the trunk.
She sustained a severe concussion, head trauma, and requires significant dental work and multiple surgeries. Wolf is experiencing memory and speech issues, rendering her unable to work. This incident is the latest in a string of devastating events for her family, who have lost loved ones to reckless driving in previous years.
As of January 19, 2026, Milwaukee has seen approximately 780 vehicle crashes this year, resulting in four deaths. Last year, 60 people died in car crashes in the city. The hit-and-run driver and a passenger fled the scene and have not yet been apprehended. A GoFundMe has been established to aid Wolf with medical expenses.
