Teen Skateboarder Struck by Car in Menifee, Critical Condition

A teenager is in critical condition following a collision with a vehicle in Menifee on Monday evening. The incident occurred around 9:35 p.m. near the intersection of Murrieta Road and Murphy Ranch Road. The juvenile was reportedly riding a manual skateboard without lights or reflective gear when struck by a Honda Civic.
Emergency medical personnel provided initial treatment at the scene before the teenager was transported to a local hospital. They are currently listed in critical but stable condition. The driver of the Honda Civic, an adult female resident of Menifee, sustained minor injuries that did not require medical attention.
Preliminary investigations by Menifee police traffic investigators suggest the teen was traveling southbound on Murrieta Road. The driver remained at the scene, and a passenger in the vehicle called 911. At this time, investigators do not believe impairment was a factor in the crash.
