A man's body was recovered from Eleven Mile Reservoir late Friday evening, concluding a water rescue operation. The incident was reported around 3:40 p.m. on Friday, prompting a multi-agency response. Two individuals had fallen from a paddle board into the water.
A fortunate bystander at the shoreline managed to rescue one of the two individuals. Following this rescue, authorities met with the survivor. Subsequently, the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Marine Evidence Recovery Team and the Colorado Springs Fire Department's Dive Rescue Team were deployed to search for the second individual, identified as a man.
Crews utilized sonar technology in their extensive search efforts. The missing man's body was located around 10:45 p.m. and subsequently recovered. Authorities confirmed that at least one life jacket was present and recovered at the shore, but it was not being worn at the time of the incident.
